Beasiswa bertujuan untuk meringankan beban biaya bagi siswa yang mendapatkannya. Salah satunya adalah beasiswa Bantuan Siswa Miskin(BSM) yang merupakan program dari pemerintah untuk siswa miskin. Namun terdapat permasalahan dalam penentuan penerimaan beasiswa BSM yang sering menjadi kendala dalam penyalurannya sehingga tidak sesuai dengan tujuan utama dari pemberian beasiswa. Oleh karena itu, untuk memperoleh hasil yang lebih baik dan mengatasi permasalahan tersebut perlu adanya sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan dengan penentuan kriteria penerima beasiswa. Dalam penelitian ini sistem pendukung keputusan menggunakan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) sebagai alternatif mempermudah pengambilan keputusan penentuan penerima beasiswa secara tepat. Metode SAW digunakan untuk menentukan alternatif yang paling baik dengan cara mencari penjumlahan terbobot dari rating kinerja pada setiap kriteria dan alternatif. Hasil dari perhitungan metode SAW akan menghasilkan output berupa perangkingan dari calon penerima beasiswa.

The result of the calculation method of the SAW will produce output in the form of perangkingan from the prospective grantee.
