Pengalaman Pertama Lomba Pidato
Semua berawal dari ketika sekolah saya lagi mengadakan Accounting Fair, dalam rangka menyambut anniversery sekolah saya. Di accounting fair, diadakan berbagai macam lomba seperti lomba sepak bola, basket, bulu tangkis, takraw,voli, speech, writing, dll. Dan ketua kelas pun bertanya kepada teman-teman sekelas saya yang mau jadi perwakilan dari lomba yang ada buat kelas saya (12 IS 2). dan saya tidak ada niat untuk ikut lomba seperti itu.
Setelah ketua kelas saya mencatat nama-nama untuk mengikut lomba, ternyata masih ada kategori yang belum terisi yaitu dalam bidang english yaitu speech dan writing. Dan ketua kelas saya secara sepihak masukkan nama saya. Dengan sangat terpaksa, saya pun mengikut lomba itu, padahal belum pernah berpidato sebelumnya terlebih lagidalam bahasa inggris. Dan inilah pengalaman pertama kali saya dalam membuat pidato dalam berbahasa inggris.
Dan akhirnya, saya membuat pidato dengan tema The Negative Impact of social network on human perspective. Dalam waktu dua hari saya berhasil membuat pidato dalam bahasa inggris untuk pertama kali dengan judul Various Impact from Social Netwok for Us. Dan setelah saya membuat pidato tersebut dan mrnberikanya ke pihak panitia, saya pun berlatih keras untuk latihan menghafal pidato agar tidak memalukan saat perlombaan.
Pada hari H entah kenapa saya datang terlalu pagi, mungkin karna efek grogi, dan setelah menunggu sampai jam 9 pagi, dan para juri sudah datanguntuk memulai perlombaan. Kemudian pihak panitia menyuruh para peserta untuk mengambil nomor secara acak untuk menentukan urutan peserta dan saya mendapatkan urutan nomer 3 (dalam hati saya pun mau teriak, AHHHH…!!!! Kenapa bukan nomor terakhir saja suapya tidak ada yang memperhatikan). Kemudian pesertanya pertama pun memulai pidatonya, dan menurut saya lumayan bagus cara speakingnya, tapi saya tidak paham dengan isi pidatonya, kemudian peserta kedua memulai pidatonya. Dan tiba giliran saya untuk memelulai pidato saya. Entah kenapa ketika saya mulai berpidato grogi saya hilang, dan dengan lancar saya berpidato tanpa tersendak-sendak seperti waktu latihan.
Setelah saya selesai pidato, saya bertanya kepada panitianya, untuk keluar dari ruangan, setelah selesai mengikuti lomba. Karena keadaan didalam ruangan membuat saya tertekan. Tapi sekilas saya mendenger peserta setelah saya, pidatonya lumayan bagus dan spekingnya juga jelas , seingat saya dia yang yang jadi juara pertama .
Setelah 2 minggu dan pengumuman pemenang lomba diumumkan pada saat perayaan anniversery sekolah dan kebetulan saya tidak dapat hadir karna ada hal yang mendadak. Dan kata ketua kelas saya, ternyata saya juara 3. saya terharu, ternyata tidak disangka-sangka, saya bisa menang lomba pidato untuk pertama kalinya. Padahal saya tidak terlalu percaya diri untuk menang.
“ Jika diberi kesempatan untuk mencoba hal baru oleh seseorang jangan takut gagal, coba dan berusahalah.”
